Concept Smartphone Nokia N40 on the Windows Mobile platform

Labels: ,

Nokia N40 designers have developed Carlos Montes de Oca (Carlos Montes de Oca) and Amed Avila (Amed Avila). The most surprising and even incomprehensible in this concept is the decision of sponsors to equip the device platform Windows Mobile devices instead of the traditional producer of Symbian. For the commission provides video frontal VGA-camera. Otherwise it is very normal smartphone with equally conventional LCD-screen, 3.2 - megapixel camera, audio player and navigation joystick. Yet the choice in favor of Windows Mobile seems somewhat inappropriate; may be, there is much more appropriate here would be the use of ascending platforms Google Android?

Remade

Remade is a concept that explores potential new ideas for the future, and is part of Nokia?s ongoing work looking at how it can help people make more sustainable choices.

The concept consists of two parts ? a wearable sensor unit which can sense and analyse your environment, health, and local weather conditions and a mobile device that builds on the "three Rs": Reduce, reuse and recycle ? using printed electronics, bio and reclaimed materials in the phone?s construction. The concept includes use of alternative energy sources.

Eco Sensor Concept might include a separate, wearable sensing device with detectors that collect environment, health, and/or weather data. Information is transferred to the phone using Near Field Communications technology by touching the sensors and phone together
